Although I was never in Miss Soriano’s classroom, my sister often shared stories about her teaching. Despite this, Miss Soriano’s influence on me was significant. I remember her for her vibrant, commanding voice, but it was her leadership in Student Catholic Action that truly shaped my path.
She broadened my perspective beyond my everyday concerns as a child. Through the immersion programs she led in the Smokey Mountains, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by families and children there. This experience left a lasting impression and inspired me to dedicate my life to serving those in need. Though she is small in stature, her influence is immense.
